About Legrand Prep's Founder

Nara Legrand earned a perfect score on the SAT and attended Columbia University in the City of New York for her undergraduate studies. In 2008, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a pre-medical concentration. Subsequently, she earned a graduate degree at the CUNY Graduate Center in women’s and gender studies as well as a certificate in Cybersecurity at Columbia University’s Fu Foundation School of Engineering & Applied Sciences.

Nara has worked for various academic institutions–including tutoring centers, elementary schools, and community colleges throughout the New York City Metropolitan area–With her experience working with elementary, as well as high school and university students, Nara is intimately aware of what’s required of students at each stage of their development. In fact, her workshop “How to Raise Brilliant Children” was rated the #1 workshop at the United Federation of Teachers Manhattan Borough Conference in 2019 and 2021.
